Description of a week training:

 

• ​15 hours Icetime 

• ​5 hours Athletiktraining 

• Seminars: Technical Game, Mental Game, Nutrition

• Written anecdotal and quantitative evaluation

• Recreational activities during the week

• Testing of 8 skills  

• Pick up from the airport Calgary

• Room & Board

 

The program is designed and run by former NHL great, Garry Unger and former major junior and college star, Billy Doherty. Both Unger and Doherty have been advancing athlete’s skills for 30 years. 

The inspiring staff includes: Richard Monette, from Inner Warrior Consulting for Peak Mental Performance training;  Steve Pattison, Brock University and Tyler Doherty, Concordia University and Kendall Newell, St. Cloud University, Goalie Coach Varian Kirst and others.

 

18 years of summer training experience and created a dynamic, results based program focused on preparing you to be your best Winning your races, winning your battles and being in top condition are the keys for you to being a successful player.

Our on-ice curriculum is a combination of the latest training trends as well as time-tested techniques. On-ice sessions are broken up into three categories: power skating, skills and tactics and game situations featuring 1v1 to 5v5 scenarios. All designed to improve each individual’s compete level. 

 

BHA Norh Vancouver Camps

 

AGE: Novice, Atom, PeeWee, Bantam, Migget

DATE: July 25-29, 2016

LOCATION:  North Vancouver, BC, Canada

 

 

DESCRIPTION: Our on-ice curriculum is a combination of the latest training trends as well as time-tested techniques. On-ice sessions are broken up into three categories: power skating, skills and tactics and game situations featuring 1v1 to 5v5 scenarios. All designed to improve each individual’s compete level. 

Others include nutrition seminars that will coach them on how to properly fuel their body, coaching seminars on how to advance in hockey, and experiential learning seminars from those who have been through it before and know what to expect. On top of all this, you will receive a detailed evaluation of skills and abilities which will help identify, in greater detail, areas of strength and areas for improvement. 

 

Total hours: 15 hours of on-ice training and 7.5 hours of off ice training. 

 

COST: $595 (or €397)

Male High Performance Camps

 

for Goalies & Players

 

DATES: August 1-5, 2016

LOCATION: Banff, Alberta, Canada

Female Summer Camp with CHS

College Hockey Showcase

 

DATE: August 15-17, 2016

LOCATION:  Banff, Alberta, Canada

 

Interested in playing college hockey in Canada ore USA?

 

CHS was created to provide a really unique hockey experience for student-athletes, their families and coaches. Sometimes, less is more and smaller is better! Our boutique showcases are geared to enable maximum exposure to scouts, a warm relaxed atmosphere and really cool places to play hockey.

 

Our first showcase was held near the sandy beaches of Fort Myers, Florida in April. More than 20 colleges coaches came to scout, man the benches, evaluate talent and work on their tan lines! But aside from the perfect 85F degree/30C weather outside the rink, the action on the inside was just as heated.

 

Our intent is to keep things small and personal. It just makes sense that coaches can make better, more informed decisions when they are not rushed and when they are in a great frame of mind. So, our showcases will never be larger than 16 teams! And we pledge to keep our coach-student ratio the highest in the game!

 

CHS was founded by Harry Rosenholtz, a former Division I associate head coach at Yale and Quinnipiac. (You’ve probably seen him at a million rinks with his signature orange baseball cap!) His vision is to create the best exposure and skill development environments for players, and to provide the information and access to coaches that will make communication as easy as possible.

We recognize that families and coaches need some downtime during a hectic season. Why not combine competitive hockey with special and exciting places to experience? That is what CHS is all about. We think it’s the best of both worlds and we invite you to join us.
